Supply chain challenges and innovations
3
Supply chain concerns have been top of mind for dietary supplement brand holders and formulators for years. The fallout from the global pandemic has sharpened this focus. While the worst of those shocks seem to be over—such as the unavailability of shipping containers and the soaring cost for their use—the event has made it clear that the model of picking up the phone to place an order with a broker when inventory is getting low is becoming an anachronism.
Session attendees can expect to learn:
• The biggest ongoing supply chain risks.
• How companies can make their supply chains more robust.
• The innovations that are making supply chain forecasting easier.
  • 9:00-10:15 Panel: Meet the Herb Farmers with the American Herbal Products Association. Rajnish Aswasthi, Sunflag Agrotech: Marisol Cervantes Bobadilla, Plantamex; Matt Dyabla, Herb Pharm; Edward Fletcher, Native Botanicals; Jeff Higley, Oshala Farms.
  • 10:15-10:45 Data integrity in the supply chain. Shelly Blackwell, EAS Consulting Group.
  • 10:45-11:30 Panel: Quantifying supply chain concerns. Brandon Casteel, SPINS; Anand Swaroop, Cepham; Scott Steinford, Trust Transparency Center.
