What We Do
Peoples’ Organisation for Development Import & Export (PODIE) is a leading spice exporting company in Sri Lanka, and a manufacturer of 100% Organic Value-Added Spices produced by our own farmer groups spanned across our island. As a guaranteed member of the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO), we have nearly 3000 farmer families currently joined with us. Our dedicated Internal Control System (ICS) team ensures daily monitoring of our farmers, who practice organic farming utilizing only the best organic agricultural inputs, including micro-biological fungicides, pesticides, and decompose mix for farming. These value-added spices are been tested by the GALAB laboratory in Germany. We have Tea Cuts in various spices such as Orange Peel, Lemon Peel, Ginger Cuts, Turmeric Cuts, Clove Cuts, Lemongrass Cuts, Cardamom Cuts, Cinnamon Cuts, Natural Vanilla in Glass tubes & all the range of organic value added Individual Spices, Whole Form & Powder Form, Spice mixtures in glass grinder bottles with unique packaging designs. We also adhere to the standards set by WFTO, ISO 22000:2018, HACCP, JAS, EU, & USDA-NOP.
